TCU Birthday!

My nephew just turned 8 and he is SET on going to TCU and becoming a Horned Frog! 

When asked what theme he wanted for his birthday, it had to be TCU!

Graduation Cake!

My nephew graduated this past May, & it broke my heart! Despite my deep sorrow and the horrible dread I felt about his upcoming departure for college FIVE whole hours away in just a few short months...I managed to get it together long enough to whip up this masterpiece! We are Star Wars fans, except for his weird momma, so when she said I couldn't put anything star wars on it....I figured she just meant on the front!! 😁

I ADORE my nephew! So when he said he wanted a cake that looked like his jeep for his 18th birthday I had to grant his wish!! I stressed over this for weeks as I had NO idea how I was going to pull it off especially since we had to construct the base to hold up the cake, fondant wheels would not cut it! Thanks to my handy husband...MISSION JEEP CAKE ACCOMPLISHED!!! Not too shabby for my first try at something like this. 😁

It was my kiddo's 21st birthday and the cake had to be epic! He wanted a Walking Dead cake but I can't stomach the tv show much less make a cake of the same theme! Then he says, 'how about Breaking Bad?' Ummmm no drug themed cakes lol! So after countless hours of brainstorming I decided on a Mikel themed Monopoly cake. It's his favorite game and I could include almost everything he's loved or obsessed over since he was little. It turned out AMAZING!!
